As an initiative of the Halve Waste campaign, free waste assessments are being made available to businesses in the greater Albury region. Each local business is eligible for one free waste assessment.

A Halve Waste Business Waste Assessment includes:

• An on-site visit by a waste expert;

• A visual assessment of materials contained in your waste bins;

• Evaluation of your current waste and recycling systems;

• Recommendations for waste reduction, increased recycling, and potential cost savings; and

• A brief report summarising the findings and recommendations of the assessment.

There are a number of benefits to be gained by monitoring your waste generation and conducting regular business waste assessments. A waste assessment will determine what waste types are being generated in your business and identify potential opportunities for reuse and recycling. This can translate into cost savings and increased business efficiency as well as environmental benefits.
